Officer Elections

DECA CANDIDATE early intent 2017

STATE OFFICER ELECTION PROCEDURES

Election of the 2017-2018 State Officers will be held during the Fall Leadership Conference, October 29 & 30, 2017.

Interested members that are already planning on running in the fall are encouraged to submit an “Early Intent” Form.  It is a way to get started early on the application process. This form is attached. In the fall they can then submit the other required documents including grade transcript etc.

There will be an interview component on site as part of the election process. This interview score will account for 50% of the total process in the election procedures with the ballots casts making up the other 50%. The complete updated packet will be distributed and posted later this summer for Back To School.

Have a nice upcoming week!

DECA FLASH – ICDC adult assistance

Happy Monday!

I will be finalizing our adult assistance assignments by tomorrow morning.  My apologies for not getting this out sooner.  We typically rotate the days you are assigned every year for those of you that are veterans.

If by chance you have a concrete plan one of the days of the conference, could you please let me know by the end of the day so I can try to make it possible without having to try to change assignments once it is sent out tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that every advisor is needed in order to fulfill the quota we are required to provide – this then means that even if you are attending the New Advisor Academy (or part of), you will still have an assignment.

Thank you!

Written Project Assistance

DECA WRITTEN PROJECT ASSISTANCE

We will once again need and welcome assistance with penalty point screening & preparing the written projects for the judges and on Thursday evening,  March 16 beginning at 4:00 pm (judges are in on Friday). This will be held at the Hyatt Minneapolis in the Mirage Room. Board policy is that we strive to have at least 2 representatives from each District.  Does your District have their representative lined up? The more help, the faster it goes! And it’s a time to learn more about the written projects and network with fellow advisors too. Sounds fun doesn’t it?!

Additionally, we also welcome any of you to assist on Friday, March 17, 2017 with the written project judging also at the Hyatt.

Please let me know if we can count on your participation.
